Dropped Kerb Guide provides general information about dropped kerbs in the UK. It isn't legal, planning or engineering advice. Council fees and rules change, often on 1 April, so always check your council's own website before you apply, pay or start work. Your highway authority's decision is final.

Accuracy

We take council information from official sources and show the date we checked it, but we can't guarantee it's complete or current. Cost figures from our calculator are estimates, not quotes.

Contractors

We don't recommend, introduce or connect you with contractors, and we don't carry out any work or provide a planning application service. If you hire a contractor, the contract is between you and them, so check their qualifications, insurance and licences yourself (see our contractor guide).

We link to council and government websites. We're not responsible for their content.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from use of this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
